Jaylani Hussein, Executive Director, CAIR-MN

 Jaylani Hussein, who emigrated from Somalia to the U.S. with his family in 1993, has earned degrees in Community Development, City Planning, and Political Science. He worked as a planner for the MN Dept. of Agriculture and has been active in several community non-profit organizations. Since May of 2015, Mr. Hussein has served as Executive Director of CAIR-MN and, later in the same year, received the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits annual “Visionary Leader” Award.
