HEAR THE STORY OF A JEWISH AMERICAN-PALESTINIAN MARRIAGE

We are relentlessly told that the Two Peoples of Palestine can never achieve peace.

What can we learn from the experiences of an Israeli-Palestinian couple just fighting to live as a family in Bethlehem?

Maya Amber, a Minnesota-born Jewish girl, found love, married a Palestinian and now lives in militarily-occupied Bethlehem. She will share her story and personal observations on the situation in the West Bank. Her dad, local composer and theater artist, Craig Harris , will share the stage with her.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 12th @ Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (intersection of Snelling Avenue and Highland Parkway)

9:30 coffee and light refreshments
10:00 program
Noon: adjournment

Event is free and open to all.

INSTEAD OF FIGHTING ANTISEMITISM, NEW SENATE BILL THREATENS FREE SPEECH

“We must be vigilant to fight against the intensified racism, Islamophobia and anti-Semitism that have been unleashed by Trump’s campaign and the threat of racist, anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant policies promised by his incoming administration. It is more essential than ever that our lawmakers anduc-regents-protest-oakland Jewish communal leaders insist that fighting anti-Semitism go hand in hand with fighting racism and Islamophobia, not reinforce them with misguided legislation designed to defend Israeli policies, not Jews.” said Rabbi Alissa Wise, deputy director of Jewish Voice for Peace
